Funny Farewell was Link Starbureiy's said official retirement from standup comedy performance.
The performance was done live at the Missoula Public Library in Missoula, Montana on February 14, 2009. Leading up to the event, Starbureiy had told some of his MCAT cohorts that he wanted to quit the gig after feeling that he no longer had what it took to make audiences laugh on-stage the way he may have when he was a teenager. This show took place weeks prior to his thirtieth (30th) birthday.
A circulated advertisement from this period reads:
"Join Link Starbureiy as he officially retires from stand-up comedy. This live event is the culmination of quick sketches of his from performances throughout his years as a stand-up comedian (April 22, 1993 - January 31, 2009). It will be recorded for home video distribution, aired on Missoula Community Access Television (MCAT), and webcast."
