A ludo layer (LL), also called a gaming layer, is a set of routines emulating the mode of gameplay. The abstraction interface ("layer") is a surface topology that is polymorphic to the user environment.

Note (+): The ludo layer can be thought of as analogous to a cell membrane. Cyto + ludo layer = ludological cell.
