Per some ludology, a play is a legal move within a game constituting an l-string transformation, called a walk. As opus iterations, each play is an evolution of some strategy.

Plays are implemented as jukes. They are executed (run) by the call action, and will typically end once the strategy is exhausted. There are three (3) possible outcomes of a play: loss (of advantage), futility (no advancement), or gain (advantage).
